The Muay Thai unit is a premium high school unit designed for a student whose Muay Thai training is already a meaningful part of life. Rather than treating sport as a separate activity, this unit builds strong academic learning around real training by linking movement analysis, athlete mindset, English, reflection, planning, data tracking and presentation skills.
Across 10 lessons, the student works towards creating a polished Muay Thai Athlete Portfolio that shows how they train, think, communicate and improve. Activities include building a fighter profile, writing training journal entries, breaking down Muay Thai techniques, analysing footwork and tactics, planning conditioning and recovery routines, studying fights, tracking performance data, writing a motivational speech and presenting a final athlete showcase.
This unit is designed to feel purposeful, mature and authentic, helping the student see Muay Thai as more than physical training. It supports discipline, confidence, resilience, self-evaluation and real-world communication while creating strong homeschool portfolio evidence across English and Health and Physical Education.
